Recommendations in the form of text combined with images are the first choice when the purchase journey begins. Consumers do believe though that video reviews are an important complement later on in their journey. Text and images can be consumed quickly and effectively but video will provide more in depth information and it simplifies the decision making process thanks to its visual advantage.
