Sweden’s best Place Marketer will be crowned at the conference “250 Opportunities” in Jönköping on September 12-13th. Smartson’s client Visit Roslagen is proudly one of the four finalists. Other participants are Sweden, Skellefteå and Varberg.
In this project, Smartson was assigned the task of being responsible for the entire operation – from initial concept to full scale implementation. The goal was to attract new visitors with curiosity; engage them through experience; and convert with recommendations. The Place Marketer of the year jury describes the campaign’s nomination in the final as follows:
“Visit Roslagen wanted to enhance Roslagen as a destination of choice and generate more visitors. They turned to active nature lovers and everyday life revellers announcing the opportunity to become travel journalists. After selection, the “journalists” had to choose an experience in Roslagen and then filmed the visit that was then shared digitally. Over 2,700 people from across the country applied and through their chosen marketers, Roslagen obtained a significant digital impact.
This year’s jury
The industry expert panel that has chosen the Place Marketer finalists for this year consists of Christoffer Collin, @wisslaren, with his 1,3 million followers on Instagram, Charlotte Sundåker, former CEO at Hyper Island, Emma Arnesson, founder of Hej Främling in Östersund and Martin Sahlin, CD for Coldwood, creator of the game Unravel.
